Green Street Park

Green Street Park is a well-loved community park in Beacon, NY. Over the past 30 years, the park has slowly been upgraded to include a playground, picnic shelter, security fencing, and other features. The City and community members wished to upgrade the park to make a higher quality visitor experience and establish a long term, multi-phase vision for the park, and hired the design team of One Nature and Hudson Land Design to provide design services. The scope of work is ongoing, and includes creation of additional parking, formal park entrance, retaining wall and fence reconstruction, addition of trees and landscaping, removal of limited use amenities, and stormwater management through the implementation of green infrastructure practices such as grass lined swales and bioretention areas.
